Fixed

We are currently experiencing problems with high ping RTAs and packet loss occuring every so often, causing trouble when playing games or doing video conferences. Currently, we are pinning down the network component which causes the issues.

Update 2022-11-10

As it seems, this issue does not originate in the FeM-Net. As such there is nothing we can do at the moment other than wait.

Update 2022-11-15

Our monitoring indicates that the issue seems to be resolved now. As we made no changes, this speaks for the issue originating somewhere outside the FeM-Net.

Fixed

During updates of lower campus VM host cluster, the experimental Kea DHCP nodes, which are currently providing DHCP for house N in a field test went down.

Normally, the HA mechanism should have prevented this, as one node was kept alive at all times. However, the first node didn't start again due to a software bug killing the DHCP server if it was unable to connect to the local database and the system not having automatic restarts on failure enabled.

As soon as the problem was noticed, it could be fixed by simply restarting the nodes, as they now were able to connect to their database servers.
